Walk to morning beach

at summer’s dawn.

Ignore the Loch Whatcom monster.

What lies in a deeper realm?

Mystery but not fear

swirls in downward clinging clouds.

    Swim.

On a misty morning when I walk along the lake, I am certain just there–see?  Surely Nessie’s cousin lingers just below the surface.
